This is an interactive magnet board game. Six dinosaur skeletons were placed on classic Chinese Tangram shapes, then the tangrams were taken apart and mixed up. The participants try to put the skeletons and tangrams back together again. The pictures above show the game in two different stages of completion.
This process is analogous to (although much easier than!) the situation faced by a paleontologist when s/he is trying to put a new skeleton together for the first time.
