A talk I gave at SLSA (The Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts) on a panel about video games and comics and diasporas.
There are many comics that feature either diasporas or protective refuges, such as Marvel’s Eternals, Dire Wraiths, Space Knights, Xandarians, Kree, Skrulls, Rigellians, Atlanteans, and Protarians, as well as other comics such as Transformers, Origins, Outpost Zero, American Flagg, and Nice House on the Lake.
I focused my talk on three Marvel groups: the Inhumans, the Wakandans, and mutants.
